Veteran's Day

We attended a Veteran's Day celebration at the mobile home park in which we are living. The presentation of colors shown here was followed by a short ceremony on the grass, by the pool.

Under a cloudless blue sky all park veteran's names were read along with their country and branch of service. It sounds simple, but was extremely moving. More than one attendee was forced to wipe his or her eyes as we heard about United States, Canadian, one German, and one English resident who served their country. Each person in attendance was honored with a special medallion to commemorate their service.
