Has it really come to this? 10.30pm and we're sitting opposite each other at the kitchen table, N working on her dissertation and me trawling through 'urgent' work stuff. Nancy looked up and asked, "Is this going to be our life in the future?"....."No, no", I answered, "One day I'll have a Macbook Air instead of this piece of IBM junk".....I'm not sure that was the answer she was looking for.
