My Mum

It was Mum's turn tonight to sit there as I played around with flash outputs and white balance! She was a very good model and we got some nice pics. This one is probably not the most flattering! But it is fun and shows her happy, fun side, which I like.

I was happier with today's results than yesterday. More flash and less ISO. I am still flailing somewhat, but I am enjoying it and I think I am getting a better feel for things. Its nice to actually shoot on a manual setting. I have never really just thought about the figures!! (I shoot on aperture priority the majority of the time).

The colours are somewhat muted which I like but there is a definite lack of warmth and softness that I would prefer. Hmmm, I will work it out :-)
