hello clouds, hello sky

nearly as good or possibly better than stones* are, of course, clouds. I could stand and watch clouds all day. In fact, as I child I did and I became very good at predicting the weather. Oh for the time to spend summer days lying on your back in the garden watching the clouds go by! Isn't adulthood a damn cheat? You spend all your teenage years waiting to grow up and then suddenly you find out that you are a grown up and that means that life is made less enjoyable than it was....today I watched littlest spitzimixi jumping around on a trestle table outside in the sun, she was singing and throwing pegs at the dog. It was lovely and sunny and no one was interfering and saying she be doing something productive. I'd love to have time to stand on a table to throw pegs at the dog. As I may have said already, adulthood is a cheat.

*it's me who started the stone obsession and passed it on to my daughters - however, I am not systematic enough to learn what kind of stones they are, I just like the pretty-glittery stuff. daughters 1&2 tell me what they are...and then I forget again :-)
