This 55-year-old sadhu was the youngest of the real sadhus that were hanging around the Pashupatinath Temple area in Kathmandu today. There are also a lot of fake or wannabe sadhus at the temple trying to make a living by collecting money from tourists. The real sadhus do not have to make a living -- they stay alive if the gods want them to. They do collect money, though, to finance their pilgrimage. All in all, they live a very ascetic life but they do smoke a lot of marihuana and hashish.
