Lucky Lottie?

Last night, I mentioned that one of our cats had just walked in with an eye injury. It didn't look good. I couldn't see what was causing the problem, but her eye was swollen, weeping and completely closed. This had not improved when I got up, so I took her to the vet's straight away.

The vet looked into the eye, and said she had a twig in her eye!

I left her for the day, expecting to see a one-eyed cat on my return. "She's a lucky cat!", said the vet. The twig was between the skin and her eye, leaving her with some soreness, and just a superficial scratch on her eyeball. He had saved the twig to show me.

I still can't believe that twig was in my cat's eye!
