Temple Visits

I was in Khon Kean to visit the family of one of my English students/friends. I wasn't sure what we would be doing, but I insisted that they didn't need to entertain me. I'd be happy to do whatever they were planning on doing (even if that was just sitting at home.)

It turns out, we spent much of the day going from temple to temple. At each one, incense and a candle was lit, then my friend, her mom, and her brother would bow down to the statues and say some prayers. I just watched, but it definitely began some interesting conversations.
