Saturday afternoon

Wandering round Ikea, not ideal, but necessary.

We have a new golf clubhouse, and have been given permission to install a cabinet to display all the trophies. Typically, it has been talked about for the last 12 months and no one has done anything about it. So, last week Roy & I took the bull by the horns and went to Ikea in Murcia on a scouting mission for a suitable cabinet. Saw quite a few, took some photos, reported back to the committee and hey ho today we returned to buy one glass cabinet.

In the process of wandering round Ikea last week, I planted the idea in Roys mind that we 'needed' a new display unit for our lounge!! Today we have chosen the one we want and a new dining table and chairs. A return visit is in order to do final measuring and decide on what combination of units we want.

Tomorrow is off to the golf club with the new cabinet and screwdriver to put it all together, ready for the dinner dance next Saturday, when al lthe trophies can be presented then returned to a new shiny glass cabinet. Job done!!
