Heavens Teardrops
Getting back to normal after the week away involved some work in our poor decimated garden this morning. We were only away for a week, yet to judge by the state of things one would think it had been a month. The wind has whipped most of the leaves from the birches and broken pieces off the branches. The pine is shedding needles like the country is shedding jobs and money and the grassed area (I simply can't use the word "lawn") has become soggy and squelches wonderfully when stepped on. We didn't see a single raindrop while we were away. Now I know why. It all fell in our back yard!
Here is a small sample. Heavens Teardrops sitting snugly on a Nasturtium leaf.
Thanks to all who stayed in touch while we were away. Our internet connection was always slow and laborious and involved sitting out beside the pool in the dark of the evenings so I have tried to comment of some of your work this morning. Please forgive me if tou didn't get such a big share but there is simply too much to do any more than look withiut commenting in many cases.
