Land of the Giants...

I had the remaining dogs out for a walk in the local university grounds this morning. Masses of beautiful autumnal blips; stonking leaves against a beautiful blue sky. Then I passed a tree - normal looking - but obviously had giantism issues when it came to the leaves it was putting out. The whole of the top branches of the tree were covered by these enormous leaves. That's a grown up woman size 5 trainer by the way! The ground under it was strewn with the fallen ones. I honestly don't think I've seen such huge leaves before. I think it's a Horse Chestnut. It rated a 'wow' from cynical old me - proving that there are still things that can give me a surprise and open my eyes just a bit wider!
