The Saddle

A cracking morning and we headed to Brora for Eco daughter, son and mum to go pony trekking for the morning.

I dropped them off and headed into the hills for a wee stroll with Juno, Ben Horn today?s wee gem.

A lot of wind turbines being placed in the hills to the west. As we climbed the Fannichs to the south created a white wall on the horizon. Juno and I found a snow patch and had a snowball fight with her.

The views all around were superb, the low easterly sun reflecting off the vast North Sea , white peaks to the south, the west and north hills only a sprinkling of white. The rich autumn colours giving a great contrast.

Back to pick up the family, they came in all smiling. What a great day they had enjoyed, on the beach they passed a baby seal at their hoofs and then climbed high into the hills for magnificient views all around and back through the mature forestry.

We headed out for lunch and just relaxed.
