Shopping

Over the last few days the old mobile phone has been behaving increasingly erratically and yesterday afternoon when a text came in it made a strange sort of bleating sound and then froze up entirely. I had to use that old "taking the battery out and putting it in again" ploy.

So I had to make an unplanned trip to the phone shop at lunch time (actually better than a planned shopping trip, which just gives me more time to get anxious). A helpful young man spoke at high speed but very sensibly about the various options and told me that I had accumulated a useful amount of credit towards a new phone. I was set up with a new phone and out of the door in about 20 minutes. Now I just have to wait for it to charge up and be activated. Oh, and learn how to use it. The previous one was well, just a phone, whereas this one has so many functions it can probably make the tea as well.....At the moment it seems to think that it's 07.52 on Thursday 12th November, but I'm hoping that it will catch up eventually.
