Autumn approaching.....
Despite knee surgery recovery proving to be a challenge, I was adamant today that I was going to negotiate the variety of doors, steps and uneven paving slabs to reach - my garden! Temperatures here on the edge of the Fens plummeted overnight, but with the culprit being the clear skies, the morning sunshine was just too much of a temptation.
Camera in hand (or actually, swinging treacherously around my neck), I heaved myself out to my little plot of heaven, the cold air catching in my lungs, the hairs on my hands standing to attention. Unable to get out early enough to catch the visual joys of this year's first frosts, I have settled for a shot which, to me, encompasses the approach of winter: the dead leaf among the final flowering, our little ladybird suffering from cold and vainly attempting to revive itself with the morning sun.
Couldn't stay long in the fresh air: this working from home-thing is taking up much of my day: and night!
