Standing in Respect

I happened to be walking through the university this morning when the clock struck 8:00. There is no bell tower or time square, but everyone knows when it's 8:00 by the playing of the king's song. When the king's song plays, we all stop what we are doing and stand in respect. The guys playing basketball held the ball and stood still, the girls walking and chatting paused their conversation and their stroll, the guy studying under the trees at the table set down his book to get on his feet. I too, stopped and stood still, needing only a few moves to snap a picture while I was standing (in respect.)
