Escapism
Our house sale probably fell through this morning. Our meeting to sign the contract was cancelled. The erstwhile buyers have run back to Dijon to think again.
Depression settled on the house like a huge damp blanket that smells slightly of dead dog, so we ran away to Spain again. The hundred mile an hour winds from last night had abated slightly, but we hoped that if we got far enough south we'd escape them. We did a bit.
On our way home we stopped in at the bird park (Aiguamolls) we've been to lots down there, and spotted this little battle. I have a sort of promise to myself to only put photos on blip from now on that I really think are ok. This isn't really (taken from too far away and cropped too much) but how often am I going to see this?
Tomorrow we lock horns with the local planning officer over whether a path to our back door that has been blocked off for at least 20 years can really be considered a public highway.
It seems like life is on hold again.
