Embleton Burn and Dunstanburgh Castle

We were out for our walk again this morning choosing a route past Newton Pond and into Embleton Village before returning via the golf club (where we stopped for morning tea) and the beach. This was a new route for us and we needed to check the route against the map when we lost track because of changed field boundaries. The sun made a welcome appearance as we walked back along the beach creating highlights in the burn and sea and lighting up Coastguard Cottages on the hillside. We were almost back when we met my Mum coming down the hill with her two walking poles in hand. Having decided she would like to be out in some sunshine she?d decided to set off for the golf club on her own. So I promptly turned around and walked back along the beach with her while A went off to ferry my Dad by car.
