Oblivion

As mentioned in yesterday's blip, we were at Alton Towers in the lovely Staffordshire countryside.

Staying in the resort hotel has a couple of advantages:
1. You don't have to travel far to get into the park. In fact you walk out of the door of the hotel, into a monorail and 5 minutes later you're in.
2. You get into the park an hour before regular punters do. The whole park isn't open that early, but there are a number of the key rides open.

One of those open when we headed into the park early was Oblivion. I'll do a proper review of it in due course.

Oblivion is a vertical-drop coaster. This is a shot of some hapless souls who went on it after me. It really is quite exhilarating, especially at 9:00 in the morning, maybe this would be good before starting work.

But mainly people scream.
