Barcelona day 2, - used the bus again, best way to get around. We went to the port, then from there upto the Montjuic castle, via the telecabin. The castle was built in 1640 and has a very interesting history. It has seen the War of Independence (1808 - 1814), the Spanish Civil War (1936 - 1939) and many uprisings, in between.

Barcelona is a lovely, if expensive, city, very varied architecture. I never stepped inside any of the shops, I wasn't allowed!! This was a sight seeing not a shopping vistit - maybe next time!!
