The phone rang around 8.30. I dragged myself out of bed as quickly as possible; surely someone calling us that early on a sunday, no less, was desperate!
The Beloved, having the advantage of already being up, beat me to the phone.
It was Lowe's, saying they'd be delivering the fridge between 11 and 1. Yesterday they told us we'd get a call around 11 with an ETA, but I wasn't complaining! It should have been a sign though, that things would move a bit quicker than we anticipated.
At 10.45 the truck pulled up. I was covered in hair-dye and in my bathrobe, so I decided to hide in the bedroom.
Ofcourse, when it was time to rinse, they were still there and I had to sneak into the bathroom while the Beloved stood guard.

It all went well, though, and before 11.30, things were cooling off inside the new fridge. Yay!

Left with a big part of the day, we then we decided to take a mini-roadtrip. It was such wonderful weather, again! We drove to a State Park a bit south, where we found people in bathingsuits, sunning themselves against a background of red, orange and yellow trees. Surreal.

Then we took the long way home, stopping at roadside/lakeview parks along the way. 80s Music on the radio, leaves colouring left and right, and me looking away from the road at regular intervals to not have to see the roadkill. Good times.
