Paper Flowers
Busy day today. First was the start of the Saturday Social Bike Ride which traditionally is started by President of the Club. Then I copped our on the ride part and went to DIGS, our Photoshop and Photography Club where I showed off my book of February Blips printed by Blurb.com.
In the afternoon, we went to the Western National Parks Assn headquarters for a lecture on Mata Ortiz pottery. First an archeologist bored us for about 45 minutes then an art critic presented an unexciting slide show of examples. Best of all was an artist demonstrating painting with a brush consisting of two hairs from a young girl. (Female hair is finer). It takes her about a month to paint one pot.
About ready to give up without a Blip and on the way out the door, I spied these paper flowers and was enraptured by the colors.
You never know when a great photo will present itself!
