OK - so this may be pushing things a bit far with this series!

But this is Nell who is the dog of the warden of my mother's retirement housing complex - you see what I mean? However, I have been seeing a lot of her recently.

However, Nell is super intelligent, loyal, ready to play, enjoys life, loves people. She will chase sticks and bring them back for hours on end - although sometimes she succumbs to temptation and sits down and simply eats the stick! So on the whole it is quite possible to argue that she should top my popularity poll anytime.

Perhaps she does!
