The ghost at the window

Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales is reputedly haunted by the figure of a young woman who stands and looks out - ruefully - on the world outside. What causes here to do this - does she look out for the figure of her beloved riding up on his horse - since perhaps he never did come back when she was alive.

This is not North Wales - but a tenement flat in the Buccleuch area of Edinburgh - and thanks to the bright tenants who decided to enliven our day.
