Oak Leaves and Acorn
Today we went for a walk in Kilmacurragh Arboretum, where two and a half years ago we had our photographs taken for the wedding album on the happiest day of our lives.
Autumn is doing its best to break forth but is being delayed by unseasonally warm conditions. During the afternoon today it was around 18C. Hence the colours are slow in materialising but here on the ground I found this cluster of oak leaves and a single acorn blown down by the strong wind over the past few days. I wonder if this will ever sprout into a tree to be admired by another in 2210.
