J decided to set up this blip for me. We were having a reminisce about our foreign trips, B.P. (Before Parenthood) - we've been lucky enough to have some amazing holidays as well as accompanying each other on work related trips... one of the benefits of waiting until we were fairly ancient to have children.
The toy Trabant was bought by J on his first trip to Berlin in 1990, not long after the Wall came down. He was quite amazed to see the difference when we visited together in 2006 - in fact, on the day we planned to visit the Bauhaus he took us to the railway station he'd previously travelled from only to find it wasn't there! Instead, we headed to an antiques market where I bought these printers letters (and numbers) - had to use a bit of artistic licence to make the word Berlin!
Busy day today: we took H to outpatients for allergy testing, 3 hours later we were told what we already knew, that he has mild allergies to cow's milk and eggs; I had a midwife appointment; then H had a photo session organised by the nursery. The photographer was great with him and got him smiling and laughing despite the fact we'd woken him from a nap only minutes before. Looking forward to seeing the pictures.
Talking of sleep - bedtime beckons!
