Worried about the neighbours
Here's our road reflected in the car mirror as we park up after work. Beautiful autumn evening with crisp skies and wonderful light. Ahead is our neighbour's car, which hasn't moved for some time. That's not unusual, and is a bit of a blessing, truth be told, as parking is not his strong point. One of our earliest interactions with our neighbour was when I had to ask him to move his car temporarily so that DynoRod could do an emergency drain exploration at 10 o'clock at night. He wasn't at all happy and when I saw his attempt at parking, I realised why.
Anyway. We are concerned because on Friday evening there was the classic ill omen of a gaggle of uncollected milk bottles on the doorstep. Knocking didn't produce any response and the next day his partner, who we don't think lives there, had written a note for the milkman saying "No milk indefinitely". This doesn't sound too good.
