And here are some I prepared earlier . . . .

Today started off so well, mild and dry and I was planning all sorts of things to do outside. There were even midges about! The back garden was full of sparrows and blackbirds, spashing in the bird baths and eating the seeds, enjoying the calm after the storms.

By mid morning the rain had started. Ollie and I were already on our way, walking over to see Nimbus and the Shetlands, but I thought it didn't look too bad so we carried on. By the time we got there and back we were both soaked, and it has continued to rain all day. And the rain is icy cold.

But at least there is no wind, and the midges have vanished!

So, today's blip is of bits and pieces that I have picked up from the beach over the years. They sit on my windowsill in a nice glass bowl, and are added to whenever I empty my pockets.

The smell of curry pervades the house. We are having an early meal before I dash out to a concert this evening. A chance to get out of jeans and into something smart for a change!
