Five Guys Burgers and Fries
Today started with Loren's and Liam's soccer games. Loren's team won 6-0 and Liam's won 2-1 with Liam playing goalie part of the game. Then I sent them on an errands run to the pet store, Kaiser for refills & gift hunting. While at the pet store, a skateboard-riding bulldog was entertaining the kids. It was customer appreciation day, so they put their tickets into several raffles to try to win stuff like an XBox, iPad, new bike, etc. They are hoping for that phone call from the store saying they've won something. Hey, at least Carters Pet Mart fed them lunch, too. It sounded funny hearing they ate at the pet store, makes me want to examine the food they gave them.
Then they came home and packed for a birthday party sleepover for a friend named Ryen who was turning 9. Loren and Liam went happily with sleeping bags and Nerf gun gift in hand.
Since the sleepover was for the older kiddos, daddy decided to treat Landon to a night at John's Incredible Pizza. Landon was thrilled to have daddy all to himself for the night. When he came home tonight, he showed me his 'winnings'. He won TWO things from the claw games that you never win anything from. Now I have to change the 'never' to 'hardly ever'. The people watching him said they'd eyed the game for over an hour and nobody had won. I can't stand those claw games...since the lack of 'strength' in the claw purposefully sets the kids up for failure. Landon came home with a Batman, a stuffed character from South Park (unfortunately) and a dinosaur from a separate game. I wonder if he'll let us give the South Park figure to the puppy!
Since I have been so sick lately, I haven't felt like eating. Today I went all day without eating...so Gary picked me up something on the way back from John's Incredible Pizza at around 8 o'clock. I told him I had been wanting to try Five Guys , so that's what he brought home. I'm suspecting the 3 pounds I lost returned all in this one meal. I think the cajun fries alone were worth it, though! A great cheeseburger, as well, with a choice off so many toppings for free.
Once little man went to sleep, we watched episodes of Modern Family from Netflix...such a funny show.
