road trip

Today I drove from Boston to Vermont with Maria. This was my first time in Vermont - I was very excited. This is the 30th state (plus Washington, DC) that I've traveled to; only 20 more to go! It was raining heavily for most of our four hour drive, which was a bummer. We stopped at the Ben & Jerry's Factory for a tour - it was entertaining and we got to sample a new flavor - milk & cookies - delish! Then we continued our drive until we arrived in Shelburne, VT where we checked into our B & B. It was lovely, furnished with antiques and zillions of books and photos. We got settled and ventured out to dinner at Pauline's Café. After dinner we headed back to relax and get a good night sleep.
