Fisherking

I am a woman on a mission....

This is the Boss looking determined.

After her jaunt yesterday, flying around the country, a sleep-in was the order of the day. So she did, until about 10.30 she tells me.

For some stupid reason I woke at 6.30 and couldn't get back to sleep, so I got up made some breakfast , had a coffee, checked my e-mails and then turned the TV on to catch up on the sports news. I don't know what they put in coffee these days but the next thing I knew was I was waking up again, with the cat miaowing into my face at 9.45.

Another coffee and it was off out to tax my car, £200 for the year. The funny thing is the guy at the Post office has always been...how shall we say it?.......a bit curt. But this year it was "Yes Sir, No Sir, Three bags full Sir".... puzzling......and then it dawned on me. This year I insured with a company that only deals with the over 50's, obviously to the guy in th P.O. I am no longer "one of those youngsters with a flash car" but now I'm an upstanding citizen.

Called to see the boys about where we are fishing tomorrow and sort out the bait. Would you Adam and Eve it, the paving slabs we laid last week have been nicked!!! We're also being sued by a woman who stood too near the edge of the platform whilst her husband was fishing and fell in the water. She want's £500 compensation, Shaun's reply (and mine as Legal Rep for the club) was very short, two words, and the second one was "Off". To top it all off we also have an infestation of American Signal Crayfish, they're not much of a problem but they do tend to pinch your bait when your fishing, so we might have to call in the E.A. to get rid of them.

Back home, watched the Ryder Cup and then the Boss sprang into action, the Son and Heir and his girlfriend are coming tomorrow , so it's time to kill the fatted calf....well in this case it's more of a fatted pig, because we're having roast pork with all the trimmings. That's why she looks so determined in this blip, she's fiercley proud of her Sunday lunches, so the meat has to be out of the freezer for a slow thaw, ready for tomorrow.

We've just got back from the S&H's, he invited us round, first time since they moved out, and cooked fajitas. They were good too, not up to his dad's standard but good all the same.

Time for bed now, up early in the morning. Can't decide what to blip tomorrow, the fishing, the lunch or something else. Might just carry the camera around with me all day and see what comes up.

Das vidanya.
