Nice to see you, to see you nice!

49 weeks + 3

This is my favourite photo today but it felt pretty similar to yesterday's, so I've used this one instead!

We had a lovely morning, looking after our little friend, Aiden. He's 3 months old and an absolute treasure. He's such a good little man. Although neither of them ate, slept, settled at the same time, it was stilll really nice. And his mum turned up with a teletubby for Katie as a thankyou. (I'm ashamed to say my daughter adores the teletubbies, yes I can hear you all now, it's ok, I realise the evils I am commiting by allowing this. But, in my defence, it's about 10 minutes a day, and that's all she gets!)

Later this afternoon, when the television did go on, she dug tinkywinky out of the basket he'd been packed away in (by mummy) along with her mini la-la that she already had. She was rather pleased.

We went for a walk after they'd gone. And when I say we, I mean we. Katie walked the whole way to tesco's. It's not a long walk, to an adult, but to a small child who's done very little outdoor walking, it was a hugely exciting experience! Although until now, I had realised how interesting and inappropriate the things at baby height outside are - jagged fence posts, nettles, drain pipes, all of which are, apparently, fascinating.

After walking half the way home again, her legs gave up and she had to be carried. She was shattered come bed time!
