Ticking Away the Moments

Edible flowers?

This year, I'm pretending to be a gardener and growing lots of flowers in pots. Not doing too badly actually, I'm remembering to water them every evening without fail and I've even fed them a few times too.

I've got white, red and pink geraniums - they're one of my favourite flowers and I love the geranium smell, it's very distinctive. There's a beautiful rose bush which has just flowered again, some carnations, 2 hanging baskets and a fuschia (blipped the other day). Oh, and some pansies, lavender and a clematis plant.

But something is eating my geranium - mainly the red one which is the biggest plant - there's a few nibbled leaves on the white one but not as many, and the pink ones are ok. I've had a good look round the leaves, haven't seen any caterpillars or slugs but don't really have an idea who/what the culprit is likely to be. No doubt some keen gardening blippers will be able to advise me.

Next year I'm going to be a bit more ambitious I think, I've already thought of some different flowers to try, including marigolds, nasturtium and more roses. I'll still have geraniums though, nibbled leaves or not, I still like them.
