And Lashings, and Lashings.....

The thing I love about Tooli, is that she is completely organised amidst our chaos. She announced to me yesterday that she was going on a Sponsored Walk today.

The walk was with the Ranger Guides to help raise funds, generally to keep them going! There is only a very small group of them!

The walk would talk the Guides along the Smugglers Trail in Troon. Apparently there used to be Smugglers in Troon, but I tell you what, if this was the route they used to get from Troon to Dundonald, they were pretty damn Stupid Smugglers!. To get in the mood for the walk, it had been suggested they dress as Pirates!

Tooli is a complete star when it comes to orders, when they said Pirate, she said which era? . The rest of the efforts were pretty pathetic. One had an eye-patch on and a hook ripped from a coat hanger. Everyone else had a bit of stripy-ness on; the only pirate they obviously could take inspiration from being Mr Smee, from Peter Pan.

So off they set along the beach. They got such a lovely day for it.

The walktakes you along the beach front at Troon, about 1 mile, then 2 miles up past the Royal Troon and Portland Golf Courses, towards Fullarton Woods. Through Fullarton, up to the Loans Crossroad, heading towards Barassie, Up into the woods, and the Resevoir, and over Dundonald Hill, ending 13 km later, at the castle.

Once the girls had reached there, 3 hours later, they stopped off and had a picnic! Toolibelle won the prize for the best dressed!! No Surprise There! They had lashings and lashings of Rolls, Cold Pizza and Crisps.

And then we came home.
