Liam is 'Star of the Week'

LIAM IS STAR OF THE WEEK IN HIS 3RD GRADE CLASS THIS WEEK AND THIS BLIP PHOTO IS HIM SHOWING OFF HIS POSTER THAT HE WORKED ON.

This morning I spent a typical morning cleaning up after the explosion known as the weekend after refereeing the ridiculous morning fights between Liam and Landon before school. I've listed some below for humor's sake:

*Who will get the last Toaster Strudel (before I had cut it in two).
*Who will spray the bathroom spray in their bathroom.
*Which kid had song lyrics correct and which kid had them wrong.
*One kid wants to Trunk-or-Treat, one kid wants to Trick-or-Treat.
*One kid got the name of a dinosaur wrong, and one insists his was right
*Whether Loren's invention of the morning had a magnetic rock on it or if it was just a normal magnet.
*Who was the one who first found the screwdriver in the ground last year that Loren was using for this invention mentioned above.
*Liam yelling at Landon to put the ice pack back in his lunchbox on the way to school.

Then it was off to the vet with Scout to have this huge growth on his neck examined. They said it looks like he's going to have to have exploratory surgery and possible salivary gland cyst removed. This is something my vet doesn't do. So tomorrow I will be heading to a specialist with him! Yikes!

Then it was just errands and such. Had to return all the beef sticks that were recalled today and am FINALLY close to getting that soccer fundraiser under wraps. Now if only I could get people to buy all the discount books from us then we will get the money back that we put into it!

Tonight I took Liam to gymnastics while Gary took over homework time with Landon and Loren. Yay! He even managed to sell cookie dough with Landon at a few houses and BBQ some chicken on the grill. He gets some extra credit daddy points tonight. :) I really needed to get away for that hour after the upsetting news about Scout and the fact that the estimate for his special surgery is $2300.00. We really need plumbing repairs, a new roof, uniform pants for the boys, Halloween costumes, Christmas gifts, and on and on and on. Puppy's health is very important to us but we are in fear of how we will be paying for all of this considering our money tree refuses to grow for us. I do realize that worry solves nothing though, so I will try really hard to NOT to.

Here's a bit of scripture on 'worry' that I like:

25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" MATTHEW 6:25-34

The EXCITING news of the day is that my boys charter school system, Aspire, was just on the Oprah Winfrey Show today and Oprah awarded our schools (about 30 in California) ONE MILLION DOLLARS from her Angel Network!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The show talked about the education crisis in America and discussed the upcoming documentary "Waiting for Superman" to air on Friday.
