Over The Fence

I did my special trick again of taking pictures with no SD card in the camera yesterday. Unfortunately, I didn't make the discovery until long after nightfall, and Smokey wasn't on hand to bail me out.

I popped outside and shot a few pictures into the inky darkness, without much of a clue what I was taking, and also looked around the house for suitable subjects without much success.

This was a shot of a climbing plant spilling over next door's fence. I used it as the basis of something more abstract, combining some of the K-x's digital filters, including High Contrast, Fish-Eye and Water Colour, with levels adjusted on the PC afterwards. There were some autumnal berries in there somewhere.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Cliff Richard and the Shadows - The Young Ones (recorded 11 August 1961, Abbey Road)
This day's giveaway DVD was The Young Ones. The title track was the first UK single to enter the charts at number one. It wasn't the same recording as the one in the film, but both versions had the Norrie Paramor Strings overdubbed at a later date, rather covering the excellent playing by the Shadows, at this time still featuring Jet Harris and Tony Meehan, so the version here is the undubbed version of the single.
