The child just doesn't keeps still, even when reading a magazine! I know it's not a great picture technically but it sums up Ben, really.

We made it to Mini Melodies today. Did I write about that last week? About it not being where google maps said it was, spending half an hour trying to find the place, giving up... Must check... Anyway, we made it today. The community centre is next to a superstore, in the superstore carpark, and it was so stressful trying to find it (if you didn't know, you'd stand no chance) and then trying to find a parking space, and then just trying to find the (trying not to swear) DOOR into the place, that I decided it had better be good. Very good. To make it worth attempting to go again next week. By bus.

And, I think it was. Ben has had 4 terms of Sing and Sign so he knows the general format of groups like this. The lady running the class said afterwards that it was amazing how quickly he joined in, and that he seemed very confident and responsive to all the songs. I think Ben enjoyed it. We might risk it again next week....


Work continues on Ben's room. He has a door (he got a door last night) which he helped to hang, and two walls have picture rail as well! He's been helping to measure things, helping to saw things (with a piece of wood, not a real saw), helping daddy screw screws in, learning and soaking it all in. We're getting there. Slowly, but we are getting there.
