Kojak update

He's getting fur ..... finally. and putting on lots of weight which is good. The other hogs that came in with Kojak, Starsky and Hutch are are looking more like hedgehogs every day.

Five of the Magnificent Seven have now been released, all weighing in at over 800g. We wished them long and happy lives.

The Autumn babies have started to arrive now. Over the weekend we had seven youngsters come in, all under 200g. I'm not sure how many we have in at the moment, but it must be over 40.
We've also had some disturbing reports of badgers in the area, which isn't a good sign as they are the only predators that will eat hedgehogs. It's worrying as we are very close to the town centre with several housing estates surrounding us.
