Art Deco?
Another busy, busy day today so another rushed Blip. This was taken on Belfast's Antrim Road, fairly close to the Belfast Zoo. It's not a part of Belfast that I'm particularly familiar with, but when I'm up there, I always admire the huge houses in prime positions overlooking Belfast Lough.
This one isn't very big, but it attracted me because of the design. I think it has an Art Deco appeal or Bauhaus perhaps - I don't know enough about architecture to tell you, but I wish I lived in it. I think it dates from the 1930s or 1940s, and it's a little strange to imagine that someone thought so "outside the box" back then in that conservative time to dream this up.
Awesome!
That's Cave Hill poking out between the houses. Somewhere I've never been. I'm told the views are spectacular from up there. I'll be waiting for Spring though ;)
