Escape

It's budget time again at work so I'm spending much of my time hunched over over spreadsheets and crystal balls trying to predict what will happen in the business over the next year....a virtually impossible task as my clients don't even know what they are going to do. Somehow turning all the guesswork into hard numbers in an Excel spreadsheet seems to make the future that little bit closer....

All of this gave me a splitting headache only relieved by a quick escape at lunchtime for a walk on my favourite local beach. Oh well I'm sure it will only take another three months or so to finalise the 2011 budget...I feel more walks on the beach are in order.
