cycle of life

it was wicked windy today and i thought i'd never get a non-blurry shot. this is the best i could do...

i thought it was curious to find the whole gammit of the flower cycle on one tiny stalk....a full bloom, partial bloom but heading out and then one that has died out already. you'd think once one was gone the others would pretty much be on their way. but not here.... interesting... which is how we experience it with us humans as well, is it not?

my gracie is learning to adapt to the daily routine of having her ears massaged with the ear gel....too funny. she'll see me coming, hunker down with a meow or two but let me at her. then she comes trotting back to forgive me a few minutes later. i can only hope this stuff will stabilize her tumors as i'm not ready for her cycle of life to be done.
