And The Two Become One

This evening Gary and I attended a wedding at the Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove. A relative of mine, McKenna, married Chris in an amazing outdoor wedding. She was an absolutely beautiful bride who had such a great story shared by the pastor officiating the wedding of how her and Chris met and fell in love. We were happy to have been invited to share in this special day. The weather started out very hot, but as the evening progressed it cooled off into a comfortable night.

In the entryway following the wedding, each guest was invited to sign a quilt square and write a little message on it to the bride and groom. Next to the signing area was a framed quote that I really liked. The quote read:

"Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction." -Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

I know that McKenna and Chris will have many happy years together.
