I Really Should NOT Be HERE!

This was taken at 21:20 on the tarmac at Heathrow.

At that precise moment I should have been sat on a plane making it's final approach to Stockholm after a direct flight from Manchester!

After spending 30 minutes in the Check-in queue at Manchester we reach the desk.

"Oh that flight's cancelled. You'll have to go over there and queue to find out about an alternative." She says.

"Why didn't you tell us that 3o minutes ago?" We say.

"I'm not allowed to do that." She says.

So we queue and get put on a different carrier flight to Heathrow, then spend ages getting checked into that.

That plane departs nearly 50 minutes late.

We get to Heathrow and have to grab a quick sandwich as the 2.5 hours we'd set asside for relaxing and eating has been used up queueing, running between terminals, waiting for busses between terminals, queueing again etc etc.

The only bonus at the point the picture was taken was I saw all our bags go on. So I know they've made the transfer too!

Anyway I roll into bed at 02:00 instead of the respectable 22:30 it should have been.

Let's see what tomorrow will bring.
