Climb When You're Ready!

My friends Dave (red) and Stu (blue) climbing on Dow Crag.
It lies above Goat's Water, near Coniston.

If you have eagle-eyes, you may be able to spot Emma, Dave's wife, hiding behind a big boulder immediately to the left of Stu.

"Climb when you're ready!" is one of the standard calls used by climbers to aid simple clear communicaton.

I look at the back of that mountain from my garden.

Dow Crag is the highest point in the centre of the shot.

Today was supposed to be a nice, sunny walk over Brown Pike, Buck Pike and Dow Crag.

However, the weather forecasters lied and we got cloud and mist backed up by a cold Northerly wind!

It was an enjoyable walk none-the-less.
