One Tree Ochil
We (Euan and I that is) took a big 'B' Road mystery tour today that took us on a near complete circuit of the Ochil Hills. Headed east along the back roads to Castlehill Reservoir up near Glendevon then turned north and wound on down to near Gleaneagles, then along to Auchterarder. A short dash along the main A9 then we headed back into the Ochils and up to Sheriffmuir. This shot was snapped along this single track road where there were some stunning views to be had over to the Trossachs and north into Perthshire (the pointy mountain furthest left here is Ben Lomond, not sure about the ones on the right as their peaks were in the clouds, but I think Schiehallion's in there).
We stopped numerous times (Euan asked at one point if we were ever going to get home as we seemed to be stopping every couple of minutes) to grab some pictures or to watch deer running across the heather and I think we passed all of 5 other vehicles (plus 2 cyclists) in an hour's worth of driving.
We came down off the hills just outside Stirling and even then managed to keep off the main roads as we headed home for a big plate of stovies.
A perfectly chilled Sunday afternoon.
