Kuya Alex

Kuya ~ (a Filipino/Tagalog word) respectful call for older brother or even for older male friends.

This is my Kuya Alex. Not in blood but in heart. I've known him for about 5 months or so because we are living in the same apartment together with other Filipinos who live and work here in Israel. Last Sunday, about 1:30am, I woke him up because I can no longer bare the stomach pain and I need to go to the hospital. I felt more secure when he decided to come with me to the hospital and he stayed there until they let me go out. He waited for me at the lobby, took some quick naps from time to time while sitting on a metal chair. I didn't expect people to give me such favor because I don't think I deserve that. But in instances where you don't have your family and love ones beside you, then you will know who your true friends are.

To my Kuya, thank you so much. I owe you a debt of gratitude that money can't pay. But I know I have to give you something for new year.. haha! Yes, it's New Year (Rosh Hashana) here in Israel.

So.. this is my first portrait attempt. I know it's lousy and no match to my sis Olga'sblips but I'll try my best to improve my shots. And of course, thank you guys for making my yesterdays blip on spotlight again! =)

Oh by the way, the Unstaged nomination is starting already weeeee! I hope I can win a year of membership.. its enough for me. I dont think I can win the Canon 5D MKII haha!.. we can participate and nominate entries..here's HOW!
