Comme Ci Comme Ca

Passion!

Passion, it lies in all of us, sleeping... waiting... and though unwanted... unbidden... it will stir... open its jaws and howl. It speaks to us... guides us... passion rules us all, and we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love... the clarity of hatred... and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion maybe we'd know some kind of peace... but we would be hollow... Empty rooms shuttered and dank. Without passion we'd be truly dead.

~ Joss Whedon

As I scanned my shots today, I spent a little more time on this pair of abandoned shoes and the word passion (which appeared to be the brand of the shoes). It looks like its still new and whoever left this here must be tired of walking with this high heeled pair of walkies.

And for me it speaks volume. Sometimes in our lives, we feel weary and decides to let go of the things that we don't want to do in the first place. We always found ourselves doing what we NEED to do rather than what we WANT to do. All of us have passion for something. Whether in photography and arts or simply on dressmaking. But because the world tells us, "it's not good for you" or "you are too good to be just a photographer", we found ourselves in another life that we don't enjoy and we end up being lonely and bored.

And for this pair of shoes, the woman decided to let go even if she knew for sure that she'll be walking in a sheets of broken glass and sharp stones. Passion can drive us crazy but it will be the only fulfillment that we could have. And if Passion means dancing and running without shoes in the middle of the street then be it. Those who dance were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music. Above all, follow your heart. Do what you want to do and not the things that others wants you to do. Be true to yourself, and if you cannot put your heart in it, take yourself out of it.

And for the woman (whoever she was) who left his pair of shoes, May you follow your heart and find your path of happiness.

Note: I shoot without rearranging things on the streets so I'm sorry if it doesn't appear obvious sometimes. I love you all guys! =)
