Still running dry
It has rained and rained in recent months. And still Thirlmere is low.
Built in the 1890's to supply the growing population of Manchester with drinking water, this beautiful and picturesque reservoir is situated between Keswick and Grasmere.
Todays weather was near perfect and the RAF found it so too as they practised their low level flying amongst the green and grassy fells.
