September

More than any other tree this Rowan signifies September for me. It has actually been in berry for some weeks and when the sun is on it -in the morning- it casts a red glow over the front of the house.

I took this this morning with the sun rising. I do like this tree , which is actually in a neighbours garden but was reluctant to take a picture of it before because it always makes me think - 'Back to School'!

There is some sign of autumnal colour on some of the leaves but as yet not much bird activity. Sometimes they very quickly strip the berries, which I always think indicates a bad winter to come, but at the moment it is full of fruit as you can see.
We shall have to wait and see.
