Spotted Shag (stictocarbo puntatus)

This shag is common to the North & South Islands of NZ and only shows their ornamental crests and plumes during the early breeding season. I was happy to have climbed to this nest getting this shot without disturbance - hence their courting activities continued. hmmm! I remember it - some while ago ?
