the butterfly sings and opens the purple summer

more college shopping today. its almost getting annoying. almost!
when i came home i decided to water the plants and while i was out there i spotted over 20 of these little guys so i rushed inside after i was finished to capture a picture. i love bumblebees, did you know that technically they're not supposed to fly because their bodies are bigger than their wings?

Thats why i like bumblebees so much. theyre beating the odds against them. it was also a beautiful weekend. today was humid but yesterday was fantastic.

i took this shot with my magnifying filter originally for my film SLR but it works just fantastic on my regular one too :)
