Sunset at Newport Wetlands Reserve
Decided to wander down to Uskmouth late this afternoon. Went with my girlfriend, my brother, my sister in law and my niece.
My brother had never been to Newport Wetland before, so it was more for his benefit than mine. It was a chilly evening, but the sunset made it worth it.
Newport Wetlands is a RSPB managed reserve, set on the Usk Estuary in South Wales. It attracts a large number of wetland birds, from Bearded Tits to Little Egrets. We hoped to see the Little Owls, but once again they remained elusive. The beauty of a nature reserve is there is always next time!
